Went for a walk in the woods today at the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge and saw a Hermit Thrush. He has a beautiful song, but one rarely hears it here since these thrushes fly north in April to breed. This elegant lad was a very cooperative model.
I've always thought that one of the coolest things humans have ever created was the camera because it allows us to actually see what someone else saw at the moment they saw it, no matter how amazing or mundane the view.
